This Privacy Policy explains how TekConnected LLC ("TekConnected," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information in connection with WorkHoist, our cloud-based construction work management platform. By using WorkHoist, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. Your name, email address, and company information you provide when you register or set up your organization.
• Customer Data. The content you and your team enter into the platform, such as projects, leads, estimates, schedules, contacts, and financial records.
• Usage data. Information about how you interact with the platform, including pages visited, features used, device and browser information, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
• Communications. Information you provide when you contact us for support or otherwise correspond with us.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the platform and your account.
• Communicate with you about your account, including onboarding, support, security notices, and service updates.
• Improve and develop the platform, including understanding how features are used and diagnosing problems.
• Protect the security and integrity of the platform and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your Customer Data for advertising.

Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate WorkHoist. These providers process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services:

• Supabase. Database and data storage for your account and Customer Data.
• Vercel. Application hosting and content delivery.
• Cal.com. Scheduling of demo and onboarding calls you book with us.
• Resend. Delivery of transactional and account-related email.

Each provider maintains its own privacy and security practices. We share only the information necessary for them to perform their function.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and browser local storage to operate the platform, not for third-party advertising:

• Authentication cookies. We use session cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session. These are necessary for the platform to function.
• Local storage. We use your browser's local storage to remember interface preferences and to improve your experience, such as retaining in-progress form entries.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using parts of the platform.

Data Retention

We retain your account information and Customer Data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the platform. Following account termination, we retain Customer Data for a reasonable period to allow for recovery and to meet our legal and operational obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized unless longer retention is required by law. You may request earlier deletion as described below.

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can update much of your account information directly within the platform. For requests we cannot fulfill through the platform, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. Where your information is part of an organization's account, we may direct certain requests to that organization's administrator.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS, and account passwords are hashed using bcrypt rather than stored in plain text. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to address vulnerabilities promptly.

Children's Privacy

WorkHoist is a business platform intended for use by construction professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of thirteen (13). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

International Users

WorkHoist is operated from the United States, and the information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the platform from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
